The DVS can also confirm that the details are still valid and not expired or cancelled. We do not give you the option of dealing with us anonymously, or under a pseudonym. This is because it is impractical, and, in some circumstances, illegal for the Business Advice Agency to deal with individuals who are not identified.

How long do we keep personal information about you
By law, we are required to hold certain information about you, even after you are no longer a Business Advice Agency customer. However, after such time you can be assured we will destroy your personal information thoroughly and safely. We may also hold certain information about you if it is needed for a purpose which you are aware of or reasonably expect us to hold the information. When that information is no longer needed, it will be destroyed or permanently de-identified. Other information such as details held on the Business Advice Agency platform can also be removed at your request and usually become inactive when you have not used the platform for more than 12 months.
How safe and secure is the information we hold about you?
